Recently, Alliance Française Shenzhen (AFSZ), Consulate General of France in Guangzhou and Yuehai Enterprise Service (YHES) jointly hosted Shenzhen International French Teachers’ Day and the singing semi-finals contest of the Alliance Française in China. Guests attending the event via video links included Sylvain Fourrière, consul general of France in Guangzhou, and Olivier Ngo, science and technology education cooperation commissioner of French Consulate General in Guangzhou. Stéphane Joly, director of AFSZ, Olivier Dessajan, member of AFSZ, and 15 French teachers attended the event in person.

At the beginning of the event, Fourrière gave a video welcome speech. After that, participants and the guest speakers discussed the activities for French Speaking Month which will be held in March, 2023, and ways to promote French culture.
After the brainstorming activity, the strongly competitive singing semi-finals contest began. The top three winners will represent AFSZ to compete in the finals in Shanghai on Dec. 3.
