In September 2020, under the guidance of the Justice Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and the Justice Bureau of Nanshan District, Shekou Subdistrict Office established the province’s first foreign-related legal service platform, the Shekou Foreign Legal Assistance Center. The center has organized a team of professional lawyers and notaries familiar with foreign-related law by integrating high-quality legal service resources to provide international talents in the jurisdiction with legal consulting as well as foreign-related dispute mediation services regarding labor relations, assets, house leasing, and labor disputes. This is aimed at meeting the needs of Chinese and foreign residents in the jurisdiction in terms of foreign-related laws and laying the foundation of introducing high-end foreigners and building a peaceful and stable international community.

In addition to the routine “one-stop services” of the center, the center provides consultation services in terms of visa, taxation, mental health and employment through professionals from relevant departments and professional institutions.

The establishment of the Shekou Foreign Legal Assistance Center in the subdistrict is conducive to controlling the escalation of foreign-related disputes and solving them in a timely and effective way, giving a new impetus to building a harmonious international community.
